Welcome to Dancehall Tours a series where we interview artists about how cannabis plays a part in their music. ⁣

Today our host Pantason interviews Dancehall artiste Tamarley. He developed a passion for music from a tender age when his next door neighbor had a sound system banging in his ears on weekends. Tamarley granted access to take the microphone and dj on that very sound system and there he developed skills in writing songs and putting them accurately on the beats.

While going to excelsior high school most of his interest was to pursue a career in music, he started performing at school concerts and other community concerts such as westkington jamboree, allmantown jamboree and island explosion that was kept in Clarendon.

Tamarley recorded his first song in 2005 which was a collaboration with singer Tidal and Dj Sandra B titled Mother Nature and was produced by Di next Generation Record Label. The former excelsior high school student joined the Subkonshus Movement started by Konshens in 2007 and recorded numerous songs like Outta di Slum produced by Subkonshus and D&H from
