What do you want to be when you grow up?

A storyteller.

Was the common question that I was asked when I was little. Being young with a wild imagination, my mind was buzzing with ideas. Maybe I could be a police officer, a lawyer, open my own poutine shop, or start my own business.

Out of all these vivid ideas I had, the biggest dream I had was to become an author. I used to submit poetry to countless contests, read novel after novel in the library and spent a lot of my time brainstorming story ideas and journaling my thoughts.
