We have successfully completed our first round of community testing with live BEP2 payments on CanWork.io.

Community Testing Successful

Last week we went live with BEP2 payments on CanWork and recruited community members to help us test the system. All CanWork payment stages and our hedged escrow service behaved as expected (mostly) and we made a few tweaks along the way.

We tested:

  • The entire job & payment process
  • BNB & several other BEP2 assets
  • Mobile & Desktop

The testing exposed a minor bug in the escrow configuration that was not detected in our internal QA tests. A fix was deployed before the testing round was complete. We also discovered a minor bug with transaction sequences when sending consecutive Binance Chain transactions and will deploy a fix shortly.

We are extremely happy with the performance of the payment and escrow systems.

User Interface & User Experience Improvements ( UX/UI )

The community testers also provided excellent feedback and suggestions on the user interface & user experience. We will implement most of these along with other UI/UX improvements before we run a final stage of live community tests around mid-May.

UX/UI Improvements include:

  • Simplifying the Job Post & Request forms. We have significantly reduced the dauntingly large list of inputs (many unnecessary), removed many mandatory requirements and improved the validation feedback.
  • User-friendly payment confirmation. The final payment confirmation screen currently does not inspire confidence and is busy with unnecessary information.
  • Improved Binance Chain asset selection screen. Minor tweaks to help users quickly understand the BEP2 asset selection options.
  • Responsiveness for mobile & smaller devices. Some elements were not displaying correctly on smaller devices.
  • Minor tweaks & fixes such as formatting, wording, button fixes, email & notification changes, added information & tips and navigation routing improvements.

There were several logic & feature suggestions that we acknowledge and agree upon. We added these to ongoing feature improvements but they (and some of the above UI tweaks) will not block subsequent testing & promotional efforts.

Final community testing will resume as soon as we deploy the last changes to payment & escrow systems.

Binance Chain Client Testing

We are excited to have a few Binance Chain projects join CanWork for some ‘Client’ testing. This will be a staggered approach and we look forward to the feedback from other developments teams in the Binance Chain ecosystem on how CanWork can meet the needs of Clients more effectively.

Thanks again to all the community testers 🙏

We will soon be looking toward the community again as we put up jobs to help us with development improvements and promotions.
