Hey, we heard you!
Due to increased demand from the Bountysource community we have now added Gitlab to our growing list of supported code repositories and trackers. This means all your Gitlab-hosted, open-source development issues can find easy funding on our platform.

How it works?

  1. Simply go to bountysource.com
  2. Click ‘Post Bounty’
  3. Paste your Gitlab issue or tracker URL

Note: Integration only works for the main Gitlab.com hosted issues and currently excludes private, self-hosted gitlabs.

Users might expect some teething problems in this first version. If you experience any issues, please let us know at support@bountysource.com.

Gitlab trends during Github exodus

Gitlab is a web-based, feature rich Git-management platform which has found increased popularity with software developers due to its seamless integration between code repository, documentation management and issue tracking.

Earlier this month Microsoft announced plans to acquire established Git-management alternative, Github; unpopular news that led developers to migrate their projects to Gitlab in unprecedented numbers.

Source of all bounties

Bountysource, owned by CanYa, aims to be platform agnostic integrating with as many trackers as possible to ensure we are the source of all bounties online. Unlike other bounty platforms — which only integrate with GitHub and are arguably centralised — Bountysource already integrates with thirteen trackers and repositories. This decentralised approach adds the most value to bounty hunters because they don’t need to search all over the internet, saving time and money.

Bountysource directly aligns with CanYa’s long term goals of being a peer-to-peer marketplace of services for digital nomads to work in their own time, on their own terms.
