CanWork is now live on Binance Chain!

In the culmination of six months of solid development work, CanWork has successfully been re-engineered and deployed on Binance Chain. We are incredibly excited to take this first step on our journey with Binance’s infrastructure and community.

If you want to understand why we chose to move to Binance Chain or get an idea of the work involved, you can read the blogs below.

Why we moved to Binance Chain:

Development work on Binance Chain past, present and future:

A dress rehearsal, of sorts

CanWork is now wholly shifted from Ethereum to Binance Chain. However, initially, only BEP2 $CAN will be available for payments on the platform. Don’t fret, by the end of January 2020, the development team expect to have the full array of BEP2 token payments available.

Between now and then, the team will be focussing on building the necessary onboarding documentation for our users and testing the platform. We want to have the strongest possible user-experience so we can launch BEP2 payments with a bang amongst the Binance community in January. We will be encouraging our community and users to start using BEP2 payments on CanWork during this period also.

January 2020 and beyond

CanWork will go live with the full range of BEP2 payments in January 2020. We intend to push CanWork hard amongst the 150+ Binance Chain projects and Binance themselves. By allowing payment in any BEP2 native token, all projects in the Binance Chain community will be able to gain easy access to the global freelance economy without the cumbersome process of storing extra tokens. Thanks to our BEP2 hedged escrow they will also not have to worry about price volatility while they complete jobs with our freelancers.

We hope to make CanWork, (which reached the top 0.8% of dApps on Ethereum before the transition) a major success story for Binance Chain due to its broad appeal and clear benefits over legacy alternatives. Our aim is to make CanWork the flagship dApp of Binance Chain.

Additionally, with BEPSwap support going live in Q1 2020, CanWork will open up and allow our users to pay or receive a large range of cryptocurrencies in a seamless experience. The list of supported cryptocurrencies will continue to grow as BEPSwap & Thorchain add more and more currencies. This is a significant selling point for many future users of the platform.
