What is Inspire’d? 🎨

“Inspire’d” is a collective initiative by the Product Design Team at Capillary. Every Friday at work, we come together to discuss anything we’ve come across that inspires us.

It started off as an informal discussion of weekly inspiration but, over time, has turned into something bigger. Something more meaningful.

We present work spanning across different industries including, but not limited to; automobiles, airlines, software, animation, photography, illustration, and art. We have even had people reviewing movies that inspire them.

Why Inspire’d? 🤔

He’s right, I’ll admit

Over the past year, the company has focused on giving utmost importance to design. This not only means having a fully-fledged in-house design team, but, this also meant allowing designers to flourish — giving them the space the grow.

As designers, I would say a major portion of our time goes in absorbing the world around us. This could something as simple as browsing Dribbble/Bēhance or even backpacking across a country.

Since we all come across some pretty interesting things, we thought it would be a good opportunity for us to share it with each other at the end of each week.

What plans do we have for Medium? ✍️

Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, plotting as usual.

Well, going forward, we’re going to start documenting every Inspire’d session and share with you some of the things that inspired us throughout that week. You can expect to see some inspiring work related to AI, product design, architecture, automobiles, and even dance. 🙌

We hope to see you again when we publish our first official Inspire’d article soon! Follow us on Medium to stay up to date with all stories we publish.

In the meantime, check out these mesmerising alphabetical animations by Mr. Kaplin 😵
