Capital Enterprise have teamed up with the GLA to map London’s ever-growing business support — make sure you’re on the list!

Being able to find the right business support in London has never been more important. In the effort of making that process as effortless and as straightforward as possible, Capital Enterprise has teamed up with the Mayor’s Office to research London’s growing business support environment — made up of public, private and voluntary organisations.

The overarching aim is to help identify gaps/challenges that currently exist within the business support landscape, and to inform some new face-to-face business support activities to be launched, as part of the London Growth Hub, later this year.

The London Growth Hub currently acts as the GLA’s online business support directory, streamlining London’s vast business support network into a single online resource. However, with the ever-changing nature of this space, that resource can quickly become outdated. Keeping track of London’s expanding business support provisions, is, in itself, a major challenge we want to overcome.

Alongside the GLA and LEAP, Capital Enterprise wants to make the London Growth Hub the most complete and up to date business support database in London — and part of that process is encouraging businesses/organisations currently providing these services to come forward.

How do we define business support?

The term ‘business support’ covers a range of services designed to help businesses start, sustain and grow. From starting out, financing, and growing a team to international expansion, the variety of services offered through The London Growth Hub focuses on meeting the needs of businesses at all stages.

The London Growth Hub connects London’s entrepreneurs, micro business and small and medium-sized enterprises to tailored support information and resources — we welcome London Business Support providers to come forward to be sure you are included in this project.

Why should businesses get involved?

Contributing to The London Growth Hub is a great (and free) opportunity for business support providers to increase their exposure to business owners across London and promote the services they provide.

In this early stage of the project, we have started working on ways to identify businesses/organisations that could be a great addition to the growth hub, but alongside this we are also encouraging businesses/organisations to come forward to list themselves on the directory.

How can you be part of the conversation?

If you work for, or run a business/organisation that provides any type of business support to businesses/individuals in London, please check here to see if we currently have up to date information on your service.

If you are not listed and would like to be part of the conversation, please fill in our short questionnaire here.
