Welcome back to Weekend Writing Prompts. I’ve been on a short unannounced hiatus but I’m back!

This weekend we are going to do some world building.

Let’s call our world Chimera. Why? Because we’re going to get a little wild and use parts to make a complete, full world.

I’ve made up a list of things you can include in your world and you have to choose three at random and create a world with them. Write about how each world building point impact each other as well as the world as a whole. Write how they came to be, whether it’s the truth or mere legend. You’re world can be a single planet or a massive island. That’s totally up to you.

This site is great for choosing randomly: TextFixerRandomChoiceGenerator

  1. Four moons.
  2. Giant mammals.
  3. Triangular craters.
  4. Poisonous rocks.
  5. Dinosaurs.
  6. It always rains.
  7. Trees grow no larger than five feet.
  8. A sixth season.
  9. Lower gravity than Earth.
  10. Giant butterflies.

As always, have fun with it! Happy writing!

Remember, you can always submit your stories to Capital Letters. I’d love to read your stories!
