Acellere raises $2.5 million in Series A Funding Round

• Software technology company Acellere has announced its Series A funding round of $2.5M (€2.25M)
• Investment led by Capnamic Ventures with additional funding from business angels
• Marks the official launch of Acellere’s patent pending ‘Gamma’ technology — an intelligent software analytics platform

FRANKFURT — 23 January, 2018 — Acellere , a software technology company whose mission is to start a global movement for clean code, today announces its Series A funding round of $2.5M (€2.25M) led by Capnamic Ventures. The funding round also saw participation from a select group of business angels, comprised of prominent industry veterans from Germany and US.

With software failures on the rise amongst businesses — both big and small — companies are losing millions to crisis management, delayed (and faulty) product launches and significant losses in customer compensation. Acellere’s founding team, led by Vishal Rai and Sudarshan Bhide, has developed an intelligent software analytics platform called ‘Gamma’, to help companies identify, prioritize and fix problematic parts of their software.

Acellere developed Gamma over the past few years. It has worked with some of today’s largest global corporations to develop, test and validate the platform. These include global automotive companies, financial institutions and energy giants, who have used Gamma successfully on some of their most complex, real-time software systems.

Gamma is able to diagnose structural issues (called anti-patterns) in software, which are leading indicators to problems in code. The platform also has the ability to numerically rank hotspots in code from worst to best in order to identify and react to coding issues more quickly. In addition to having the ability to analyze and diagnose issues, Gamma is also developing a powerful AI assisted cognitive engine. This recommends fixes to the issues it identifies in code, helping companies accelerate their software development and productivity.

Acellere will use this investment to further its research and development of the existing platform. It will also be used to help further enhance user experience and improve its machine learning and AI features that power the platform’s cognitive recommendation engine. Additionally through its AI offerings, Acellere will be able to offer curated approaches to software management and assist customers more effectively.
