Dear friends, colleagues, partners, and users of the Cappasity platform,

The year 2019 brought with it a plethora of exciting opportunities: projects and partnerships, conferences and expos, improved versions of the existing Cappasity services, and brand new offers. As the year comes to a close, we are happy to announce that the Cappasity solution is being utilized by over 1,700 websites worldwide!

Exciting surprises are coming your way in 2020. But first, let’s round up the year that made it all possible.

As a result of an important partnership with SAP, the Cappasity solution was made available to SAP Commerce Cloud users and now requires no additional integration. What’s more, Cappasity became an Associate Member of The Khronos Group, a nonprofit, member-funded consortium focused on the creation of open standard, royalty-free application programming interfaces. As an Associate Member of Khronos, Cappasity will be at the forefront of 3D Commerce standards development.

Cappasity also became a patron of the arts: As an official sponsor and partner of In Dante Veritas, an interactive multimedia exhibition that took place during the Venice Biennale 2019, we brought our interactive 3D experience to the Spring Show at San Francisco Academy of Art University. Cappasity’s commercial also won an ADDY from the American Advertising Awards, a prestigious competition in the art of advertising.

The team released the first version of a mobile application for creating 3D Views of small objects, updated the framework for integration into iOS applications, and released a framework for the Android platform. The Cappasity app for iPad now works in a digital signage mode, allowing iPads to work as kiosks, thereby adding an additional sales channel to the shop floor.

The Cappasity team introduced automatic synchronization for website product catalogs with an account on the Cappasity platform via SDK. We also fine-tuned AR/VR scenarios for retail. The Cappasity VR Store Demo is available for download on the Steam platform. It is also on view at the Accenture Customer Innovation Network (ACIN) center in Milan as a part of the state-of-the-market technologies exhibit. An improved version of Cappasity.AI — an effective tool for predictive marketing — allowed Cappasity to be chosen among the top AI companies from around the world to present its technologies at Osaka’s Global Innovation Forum in Japan.

One long-awaited premiere deserves a special mention — the immersive product page, a format that will give the already familiar online retail space the necessary push to step into the future.

What makes it so innovative?

Firstly, the immersive product page contains a 3D View created on the Cappasity platform, which gives it unprecedented quality and high resolution. It also supports AR and VR integration.

Secondly, the same product page automatically collects important customer data. Based on this data, Cappasity.AI can provide retailers with a detailed report on how their users interact with 3D content. Unique insights like these will help tailor product presentation to fit customer needs and predict purchase probability.

We’ll showcase all features of the immersive product page at NRF 2020 in NYC.

After attending an abundance of conferences and expos all over the world in 2019, the year 2020 promises to be no less exciting. You’ll get to see what’s next very soon. But for now Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Yours,

Cappasity team
