History of Captain’s Aviation

Captain’s Aviation was founded in 2008 by Captain Horace Burrell, who saw an opportunity to improve the helicopter charter industry in Jamaica. He sought to create a true VIP experience for all travelers by making ease of transport across the island as tangible as possible. By hiring the best in the industry, Captain’s Aviation strives to complete every flight with excellence.

As Captain Horace Burrell built out his company, he worked hand-in-hand with his son, Romario Burrell, to prep him to be the next in line. The company’s staff collectively has over 73 years of experience in the field of aviation. Additionally, the company’s safety standards are in-line with the best in the industry.

In 2017, Captain Horace Burrell passed away and Romario Burrell took over the company and presides as the CEO of Captain’s Aviation. He has undertook some drastic measures to revamp the company, including the launch of a new branding initiative and website, an autonomous booking system, and several more exciting changes to come.

The company’s unwavering commitment to excellence in flight has established its reputation during it’s 11 years on the island as the best helicopter charter company in Jamaica. In the past several years, Captain’s Aviation has expanded from originally only offering airport transfers to point-to-point intra-island drop-offs and picks-ups as well as aerial tours of the island.
