dance, dance

You know those moments? Those brief, odd moments where nothing that spectacular is going on but you know you’re going to remember it for a long time because you’re just hit with a feeling that everything is in its right place?

We were sitting in this pavilion in California Adventure sharing a beer and a pretzel, just taking a break in between rides. There was a dixieland type band playing, some guys in striped jackets and straw hats and one of them was playing a really mean washboard. This couple (who I assume were Disney plants) got up and started dancing in front of us.

Like I said, nothing all that special but all the elements of the day combined together made me sit back and think “What I’m feeling right now is pure, unadulterated happiness.”

Just a small, unspectacular moment. But memorable, nonetheless. And captured.
