We know and love ATB—after all, they listen. And for startups like us, this was important. Earlier this year we applied to be in the second ATB X cohort, and lucky for us, we were accepted!
So what is ATB X? It is an accelerator program for small businesses in the market validation stage. It lasts for fourteen weeks and you get to work along side twenty other entrepreneurs and mentors, while receiving free workspace.
It’s perfect, because every company gets to work under one roof. Most of the time if there is one problem that you may be going through, someone else has solved it already. More than that, we are a family—everyone is willing to help out.
During our time, we have made valuable connections with tons of people. From programmers to consultants, everyone has their story, and what better way to exemplify the startup spirit than by sharing a little more about them.
BarCountry
Hiking a mountain is no easy task, and it’s even more difficult when you need to lug around a bottle of wine or heavy beer in order to enjoy that rewarding treat at the end. Well Matt and Kole, the two awesome founders of BarCountry, have created a way to enjoy a premium cocktail wherever you are. Whether it be hiking in Alberta, snowboarding in Japan, or even climbing Mt. Everest, BarCountry has got you covered. All you need is your favourite liquor, some water, and their flavour sachet. Shake all these together and you’re set for a refreshing drink and an amazing view.
Currently, BarCountry has three unique drinks, the Bearded Caesar, La Bonita (margarita), and Grandpa’s Old Medicine (old-fashioned). I can definitely vouch for how delicious these are. So get out and reward yourself!

You’re rushing home from work to get that Amazon package you’ve been waiting for this whole week, but once you get home and see that dreaded white note hanging on the doorknob—you’ve missed them. Now you have to drive all the way to airport or post office just to wait longer. We’ve all been there. It sucks.
Parcel Butler is changing that. All with a few clicks online, you are able to book your next package to be delivered when you are home. From operating times between 6:00pm to midnight, 7 days a week, you’re guaranteed to never miss a package. Oh and did I mention that they do it with style in a spiffy tuxedo?

Overall, the ATB Xperience has been amazing. The coordinators of the program, Vidya and Shannon, are truly helpful in anything that they do. They teach us valuable resources and always take the time when we need support. We have learned more than we could imagine, connected with meaningful people, and grown to become who we are today.
