Carbo Culture awarded Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label, joins the global club of profitable solutions to protect the environment

We’re delighted to share that Carbo Culture has received the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label, an award for effective environmental solutions, following an acceptance by external independent expert board and based on verified standards.

Our team is proud to join the #1000solutions challenge, an initiative by the Solar Impulse Foundation to select solutions that meet high standards in both profitability and sustainability and present them to decision-makers to fast-track their implementation.

We’re especially pleased at how the Solar Impulse Foundation advocates for environmental impact to be coupled with profitability as this has been the guiding principle of Carbo Culture since the start. To make the necessary strides to avoid 2°C+ warming and to halt the rampant biodiversity loss, we need solutions that have steady operations and can quickly scale to a global level.

The Efficient Solutions label is also a reminder of how the planet needs to shift to a more circular mindset and learn to utilise all of our resources to their fullest potential.

For Carbo Culture this means turning biomass waste to both sequester atmospheric CO2 and make engineered biocarbons. Our biocarbons are uniquely suited to a range of traditional and emerging environmental remediation and performance applications, including bioremediation, organic pollutants removal, and heavy metals immobilization.

With Carbo Culture, we aim to prove that large scale drawdown can be profitable, scalable, and sustainable while delivering multiple systemic benefits.
