you’re destined to be a wave
but for now
you’re the Java Sea
bluish-grey
translucent
choppy
or calm
you rely upon the wind
and when you swirl
like curled chocolate on a cake
it’s time
you go
speed up
charge
to the shore
that glistens in the sun
fast
faster
crash upon the sand
white foam
hisses
then dissolves
people
love you
or hate you
it depends
whether you dump them
or carry them along
you’re a wave
it’s
what you’re meant to be
