Card Bridge & Card Pay protocol

We are currently focused on end-to-end testing of the Card Bridge protocol as well as the multisig wallet creation workflow that is part of the Card Pay protocol. Our testing involves both the dApp and the mobile wallet working well together. Since there are many dependent services from blockchain nodes, indexes like The Graph, relayers for meta transactions, as well as native code for user-wallet interactions, we have to test the interactions between all parts of the applications under various scenarios, with different combinations of wallets, on the two testnets (Kovan and Sokol) on which we are doing iterative deployment. The TestFlight infrastructure is up and running.

Since Apple has approved this app, it has been much easier to push new releases directly to the tester’s phone. We are only testing with internal testers now, but have prepared a sign-up form, so we can select the first batch of external users when the current issues are resolved and additional capabilities are rolled out.

Card Pay SDK

While work continues on expanding the scope of the user experience both in the dApp and the native app, the core protocol and the SDK is reaching a very mature state. We expect changes to be minimal from this point onward. All team members are using the common Card Pay SDK that is already available as open-source code in the Cardstack GitHub. You can get a sense of the current live features that are on our protocol on testnet, and see what tools developers can get with this SDK by checking out this documentation.

We also understand that composability is important in the Web3 / Ethereum space. Therefore, we are also implementing a subgraph that is used by our SDK and can be accessed directly via The Graph. You can see some of the core entities that are already live on testnet via this playground hosted by The Graph, which is indexing the live Sokol testnet. We expect to push the Card Pay protocol and these associated subgraphs to the Ethereum and xDAI mainnet in the near future.
