We are currently working to improve the user experience of our Card Wallet mobile app and the Card Pay dApp. We are also planning a new smart contract wallet deployment that will allow us to expose even more of the features of the Gnosis Safe ecosystem to our wallet users.

QR Code-Based Payments

On the payment front, we are optimizing the user experience for in-person QR code-based payments by revising the scan-to-pay and scan-to-request modes on both iOS and Android. These changes are being made in response to in-person testing of the payment workflow. There will be further testing of the revisions during upcoming in-person testing events, so that we can build a Web3 payment experience that’s as good as — if not superior to — the centralized mobile payment experiences of the Web2 era.

We are also adding features to the in-person transfer of prepaid cards, so that users can give someone a prepaid card with the same QR code scanning pattern described above.

We are adding this feature in preparation for upcoming conferences, where we will be giving interested community members free prepaid cards in person, all through a transfer made between smartphones. Our users will be able to access this feature soon; but right now, it is an easter egg in the shipped app that users must know how to activate.

Web3 Watch Series

We’ve also started a series of webinars. We hosted the first installment last week with Chris Tse, our founding director, who discussed the great migration of the Internet from Web2 to Web3. The webinar format allows for interested community members to get real-time Q&A opportunities by attending the webinar via Zoom.

In case you missed it, you can watch last week’s webinar here:

If you want to get your burning questions answered and included in the next video, please sign up for the next event. We would love for you to participate in creating content that is both insightful and relevant.

Thank you to those who participated and contributed many great questions last week. We were only able to answer a few questions within the hour allocated for the webinar, but we will allocate more time for Q&A in the future.
