What’s New at Cardstack?
Our new roadmap is here!
2022 Roadmap
2022 will be a big year for Cardstack! In addition to further developing the Cardstack infrastructure and growing our community, we plan to expand our team and operations in marketing, communications, and more.
Here is our new roadmap:
2021: A Year of Exciting Accomplishments
In late December, Cardstack founder Chris Tse published a talk detailing our top 10 accomplishments in 2021. Here are some highlights:
- Launched Card Pay, our layer-2 DeFi payment protocol and its mobile companion app, Card Wallet, which is now available on the app store for both iOS and Android
- Invited new members to join Discord and test the Card Pay beta
- Developed an app suite for users, which consolidates separate applications like Card Pay & Card Space into one seamless app
- Built Card Flow, a workflow system that streamlines complex multi-step user interactions
- Grew our team across all functions
2021 was a year of growth for Cardstack on all fronts, and we envision an even stronger 2022. Watch the video below or read the article for more details about the milestones we hit last year.
Card Rewards
We have made a lot of progress on the Card Reward system. Traditionally, airdrops are one-time rewards. In contrast, we are working on a recurring model that rewards users throughout a project’s lifetime.
The Card Reward system consists of three components:
- Smart contract protocol
- Tally, our off-chain calculation engineer
- Low-cost reward claiming process
Read more about rewards in our recent update.
Smart Contract Auditing
We are pleased to announce that the auditing process for the Card Pay Protocol smart contract has been completed!
We recently finished a third round of security audits with Trail of Bits, one of the top cybersecurity research and consulting firms. That audit did not identify any critical issues that would require redeployment to mainnet. We plan to publish the audit report in the coming weeks.
What’s next?
What does it take to make Web3 take off? We are building an extensive catalog of Web3 features — all the tools that are needed for Web3 to finally hit the mainstream.
This catalog will show all the different tools (each tool being a card) that are needed in the Web3 space across different categories, including tools for
- Project management
- Treasury systems
- Customer experience
- Human resources
- Marketing
- Content management
- NFTs
- And much, much more…
We plan to publish this catalog in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
