Progress update on Card Pay
We reached a huge milestone by releasing the first beta launch of the Card Pay protocol, the Cardstack dApp, and the iOS Card Wallet. These three components of software collaborate to create a layer 2 payment processing network that is fast, easy, and affordable.
- This network includes the core Card Pay protocol for payment processing and the Card Bridge protocol for layer 1 and layer 2 integration.
- Almost all of the smart contracts and SDKs operate on the different protocol features, and workflow in the Card Pay and Card Bridge protocol is complete and now undergoing a second round of security audits.
- We will roll out an initial set of user interfaces that hook into the protocol during the beta program, which testers can experience through the web and the mobile app.
- Additional user-facing features will be released that fill out more dots in this matrix:
Introducing Card Pay. Fast, easy & cheap payments for Web3
Our new splash page for Card Pay allows newcomers to the Cardstack community to learn more about Card Pay, our first user-facing product launch.
We are currently working on a full website design project that will segment users into different personas and provide them with easier access to needed information.
Card Pay Early Access Program
The Card Pay Early Access Program is ongoing. We’ve received great feedback from our first round of testers, and we are working to improve the dApp and the wallet. We will continue to accept participants into this program throughout the coming weeks.
To join this program, we need some important information from you. These details will not only help us better understand our current user base but also enable us to sharpen our work on feature development and prioritization.
Update: You can now download the Card Wallet app directly; join our Discord to get the download link and test the app with the support of our community.
