The Cardwallet team is pleased to announce that the first round of our closed-beta testing has commenced early this week! There has been a great deal of interest shown in our product and we are thrilled to share that the launch day is not too far.

At Cardwallet, we continuously strive towards building a product that will echo the sentiments of our community and ecosystem. Keeping this in mind, our closed beta-testing process not only involves the founders and advisors but also our investors, trusted partners, the Cardano ecosystem members, and a few handpicked groups of trusted community members who are our early Ambassadors. We are keen to implement some of the valuable feedback that would be shared during our closed-beta testing to create a robust and scalable product for our community.

The current version of the application has been pushed to both iOS Testflight and Android stores for testing by our round-1 beta testers.

Why is beta testing important?

Though we are a non-custodial wallet, security is one of the core aspects of our product’s functionality and the testing process is designed to eliminate any potential security risks to have a smooth and non-glitchy platform for the users. Due to the overwhelming response of the community during the CardWallet IDO, we have expedited the development process and have been able to enable the round-1 testing sooner than we anticipated.

Apart from tackling security vulnerabilities, beta testing helps to find the balance between usability and functionality. It allows us to assess the performance of the platform, keeping in mind the user experience and engagement with the platform.

Beta Testing is important for several reasons but some of the main ones are to determine the quality, performance satisfaction, and bug detection in the early stages. By creating a “real-world” environment for testing, underlying bugs resulting from changes or upgrades can be detected and fixed. Moreover, it allows us to experience and eliminates the difficulties that the users are likely to encounter during the workflow of the app.

Here is a sneak peek of the tokens that would be supported during our MVP phase:

We would be supporting the tokens on the Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Cardano chains with native token support as well. To make it easier for customers to buy and sell crypto with FIAT, we would also be supporting on-ramps and off-ramps through Simplex.

Exciting times ahead for all of us indeed!

What are the next steps?

With several months of hard work behind us and several months of hard work in front of us, our team is just getting started!

We are working on adding new product features almost every week, thus making CardWallet a one-stop wallet for storing all your tokens and interacting with several DeFi protocols. We want to ensure that our product is not just for the native crypto users, but can also facilitate easy onboarding for non-native crypto users. We are focused on developing a wallet that has a great user experience and even greater user engagement.

The final goal of the application is to make the user experience as simple, understandable, and convenient as possible. And of course, to make it fun to interact with the app! Our current round of testing as well as upcoming ones are designed to achieve exactly this goal.

We feel invigorated by the support shown to us from the community and cannot wait to share further updates with you!
