Introducing CardWallet’s Early-Bird Rebate Program!
As per the statistics on PoolTool, a Cardano data aggregation tool, there are about 921,262 addresses staking ADA as of October 28th, 2021, which is over a 75% increase in number since June 2021.
Staking is a process of locking your tokens, in order to earn regular incentives. Staking has become a common practice in the crypto world and acts as a great mechanism to involve users in the community. The primary benefit of staking crypto, is that you can earn crypto, unlock special features, as well as supporting your favourite project or blockchain. CardWallet’s token CW will enable multiple perks and features within the CardWallet application.
To lay the foundations to our future staking program, we have decided to bring something interesting your way in today’s announcement.
At CardWallet, we are building a robust tokenomics that will be the backbone of our product. CW tokens will act as a gateway to some of the awesome DeFi projects built on Cardano. Not just that, we also strongly believe in incentivizing the early birds from the community for trusting us and our product. And this leads us to our next announcement — an early bird rebate program!
This program is a great opportunity for all CardWallet users and CW token holders! The program starts from the 1st of November and the initial rebate will be paid to the users after two months. After which, rebates will be paid out monthly, starting January 2022.
Let us take a closer look at the details of this program:
- Those who hold more than 5000 CW (ERC-20) tokens on their CardWallet will be eligible for a monthly rebate which will equal the amount of the fees CardWallet charges, spent for crypto-to-crypto swaps made on the CardWallet app. Note, some third-party residual fees will still apply.
- The amount of the CW tokens should be above 5k. So, through the month, if the number of tokens drops in your wallet — you will not be eligible for the rebates program that month.
- The rebates will be in CW-CNT tokens to the user’s CW address in the CardWallet application. Be sure to enable CW-CNT wallet.
- To be eligible for rebates, a user should use a minimum of 1.5 iOS version or 1.4 version of the CardWallet app on Android.
- The amount of CW to be paid will be determined at the time of distribution by looking at the current market rate.
This early bird program is our way of incentivizing our community members to actively participate in the ecosystem. CW tokens are an essential part of this project and these digital assets of the platform would be used to build the foundation for new kinds of ecosystems on the Cardano chain.
The rebate program is an early-bird experimental run and the first step to prepare for our upcoming staking features, which will be enabled as we progress through our development roadmap. Meanwhile, enjoy the rewards and rebates from our program and we look forward to sharing further updates soon.
