An inside look at how Cityblock’s mission-driven tech is transforming care

At Cityblock, we believe a value-based model builds trust and healthier communities. We have an opportunity to radically transform healthcare by using technology to tackle one of our nation’s most prevalent problems. Our success lies in our team structure: software engineers, data scientists, product managers, doctors, therapists, and nurses working side by side with community members to design a radically better healthcare system and operationalize bringing it to neighborhoods where better care is needed most.

Our team can see firsthand how what we’re building is improving people’s lives. When we ship something, it doesn’t just go out into the world for someone to download but drives meaningful improvements in health outcomes that we can see in our hubs. Our tools enable us to help our members with their needs. Such as managing chronic conditions like diabetes, treating anxiety or depression, or supporting members with finding stable housing or getting transportation to an appointment.

We have aspirational intentions and we still have a steep climb to serve as many members and communities around the country as possible. There’s an exciting opportunity here to continue building something entirely new and different for our end users — and, ultimately, something life-changing for the people we serve.

Cityblock is excited to announce Care + Code. We’ll be surfacing our mission-driven technology, highlighting work our product teams are working on, and sharing examples of how engineering and clinical experts working in unison lead to wonderful outcomes! Stay tuned for upcoming posts on trauma-informed care, processes for engineering ladders, our use of technology for processing health data, and our philosophy for how we go about building products. And, as always, if you’re interested in joining the team that is revolutionizing healthcare, head over to our careers page.
