We bring you Jitesh Prasad! He graduated in 2020 with a masters in the discipline of Electrical Engineering specialising in VLSI design and nanoelectronics from IIT Indore. Read on to know more about his exciting internship journey

Jitesh worked at the Noida office of NXP

Q) Can you tell us briefly about the company?

NXP Semiconductors N.V. is an American-Dutch semiconductor manufacturer with dual headquarters in Eindhoven, Netherlands and Austin, Texas. The company employs approximately 31,000 people in more than 35 countries, including 11,200 engineers in 33 countries. NXP is one of the best semiconductor companies in the world.

Q) For what profiles were they hiring for ?

Physical design , Analog design and design and verification , were the profiles they were hiring for.

Q) Which profile were you interested in ?

I was interested in digital design as it’s seems quite logical wrt to Analog but when I got the chance to work in analog and mixed signal field , I accepted that offer as it was a very good opportunity to work on both the domain on industry level.

Q) How was your interview experience and what is the preparation required?

About the preparation, they will ask you your favourite subject or they will ask the subject you completed during your course. According to your answer they will question you . It mostly depends on the field of expertise of the interviewer.

Pattern: It was simple as they asked us first if we are Interested or not , followed by technical interview and HR mainly for location selection.

Q) Have you applied for similar roles in the past?

I Didn’t apply for a similar role , however I got a call from intel too, but as I was not interested in Analog domain at all ,so I rejected that offer as they were offering Analog design role.

Q) How was your internship experience?

Overall experience was really good. The work culture is the most important criteria. Office co-staff was helpful too and the most weird thing about my industry experience is that I am now more Interested in Analog then digital, maybe because I worked on a live project and got hands on experience.

We thanks Jitesh for sharing his experience and hope that it for helps other students preparing for similar roles.
