If you spend enough time online, it doesn’t take long until you read stories of people leveraging the scale of the internet to build highly profitable businesses.

What’s interesting is that many of these people have successful day jobs. Rather than trying to “build an online empire and escape the 9–5” they see the opportunity provided by the internet as a way to work differently — to take on new challenges, learn new things, and in some cases, earn outsized returns.
