All the jobs I have ever had have been remote.

The last time I was in an office for a job was when I was an intern as a university undergrad. And that was a long time ago.

This is to tell you that I know a thing or two about remote work.

Is there a best time to look for a remote job? Yes, there is. There is also a worst time to look for remote jobs. It is like a kind of cycle. And there are things like remote work communities that help you with networking for job opportunities.

The idea is that you want to look for a remote job when there is very little competition. But most people look for remote jobs when the competition is high. But first, there is something you should learn to avoid.

What You Should Avoid

You need to avoid desperation. If you are desperate to find a remote job right now in the moment, you would set yourself up for heartaches.

Your desperation may land you something, but you will hate it.

If you are unemployed and you are desperate, that is not a position to be picky. Use your network and make something work.
