How To Find a Coding Job by “Winning the Numbers Game” of Traditional Job Applications

Do you remember the website Monster.com, the famous job-hunting website so famous they advertised it on TV for a while?

I don’t think anyone uses it anymore, but Monster epitomizes the essence of how you would “traditionally” apply to jobs during the last 2 decades. First, you go to a website, then you search for a job title in a certain location, and then you upload your resume. Wait a few days or a few weeks with your fingers crossed, and you’ll have a new job in no time!

The Numbers Game: Just Apply (& Apply, & Apply…)

Applying to a massive number of job postings is still an entirely valid strategy for finding a job, but it’s a shotgun approach, meaning you’ll need to trade specificity (of where to apply) for quantity (everywhere, baby!).
