So, you’ve decided you want to work with a client in order to flesh out your portfolio, your technical skills, and your repertoire of stories to tell during technical interviews? Great, let’s get started. In this article, you’ll learn how to find a great short-term client project in less than 1 week.

The goal is to find something easy, even if you’re not working full-time or otherwise committed, because we want to get the project over, done, and out of the way. If you enjoy it and continue freelancing, that’s fine, but it’s not required. The idea is to get a single, decent project for your GitHub profile so that it isn’t just full of “portfolio projects” and “demo apps.”
