With 2020 now in full swing, you may have resolved to learn something new every day, develop a new skill, or perhaps you’re just looking for some personal development. Either way, we’ve just made it easy for you, because as a University of Birmingham student, you now have exclusive and unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning.

What is LinkedIn Learning?

It’s a simple, easy, online learning platform, which provides you with access to over 13,000 professional courses, all developed by industry experts. It’s an invaluable tool, helping you to enhance your CV, upskill, and build your confidence, which will enable you to stand out from the crowd when looking for work.

How does it work?

Simply activate your account with your existing University email and password (you don’t need a LinkedIn profile). Once activated, you’ll be asked to pick some key areas that you’re interested in, and some suggestions will then be recommended to you. You can also use the search facility and find a number of playlists available to you.

All courses are easily accessible both on and offline (you can just download the course for later), 24/7, via a desktop, tablet or mobile device. Each course comes with subtitles and a downloadable transcript. It will also save where you’ve got up to, and even provides you with a space to add your own notes.

What courses are available?

The world really is your oyster with this one. Chances are, if you’re looking to learn it, you’ll find it. You’ll even find beginner and more advanced course options.
