On having something to fall back on. Part 1

I think that having something to fall back on is a flawed concept.

The amount of time, money, energy and effort which you need to deploy in order to satisfy your parents’ (family’s) not well thought out need is anything but small.

The need to see you in the ranks of those with college degree, rather than those without, (because generally the society thinks a lot of those with college degree, and little of those without — that’s a yet another habit of mind which developed in the society and is upheld), and get a reason to brag, or…
