This is the third CuraDAO community activity re-cap covering the month of October, 2019. During this month there was no physical or digital community meeting. However, some CuraDAO proposals that have passed in September 2019 have been succesfully executed. These proposals were the following:
- Runy Calmera’s — Create a guide on how to receive ETH on your wordpress website.
- Norvel Roosje & Luuk Weber — Create and publish a CuraDAO website
Runy Calmera’s proposal which passed with 5 members (12.23 % Rep) voting in favor and 2 voting against ( 4.68 % Rep). This proposal granted the proposer 0.4 ETH and 200 reputation points within CuraDAO. Runy completed his proposal for the CuraDAO facebook group members on October 16, 2019.

Another important proposal that passed on 22nd of September, 2019 with 5 members (19.52 % Rep) voting in favor and 0 voting against. Was the proposal of Norvel Roosje & Luuk Weber creating a CuraDAO website.

Now that CuraDAO has a face, public message and can receive borderless donations what’s next?
Firstly, the Caribbean Blockchain Network is finally going to publish the official “Viability of decentralized decision-making within Curaçao’s institutions” report. Which further highlights the importance of DAOs for organizing on Caribbean islands using Curaçao as a study case.
In addition, there are a couple Caribbean Blockchain Network & CuraDAO members working on further improving the narrative of the Caribbean through fact based articles which will be published soon!
Moreover, on the 24th of October 2019 CuraDAO received it’s first donation 1.25 ETH (about $200 at time of writing)!
And on the28th of October 2019 CuraDAO received a second donation of 3 ETH (about $540 at time of writing)
Lastly, is YOU! if you are a member within the CuraDAO we(CuraDAO) highly encourage you to bring your ideas to life. Create proposals, vote on proposals, stake on important proposals and spark discussions that help CuraDAO ad non-CuraDAO members further develop an understanding of what DAOs are and could become!
