As I come closer to the end of this internship, I realised I needed to prioritise what I work on, before I leave after next week. So during this week, I clarified with Eran, one of the tech mentors, what are the priorities of what I should be working on — and making the game run smoothly, in all cases, is the top priority. So I’m kind of taking the code apart and reconstructing it. So its quite a mess right now, and the game has different malfunctions depending on what change I’m working on at the moment. But overall, it is generally progress I think, even if it feels sometimes like the project is wrecked :) Debugging and refactoring feels a bit like a game of whack-a-mole: You remove one error, and (at least) one other pops up somewhere else.

There were a few extra activities this week. On Sunday, Dr Hanoch Kasuto, a researcher and pediatric neurologist, gave a presentation about autism. I think I generally understood, even though it was in Hebrew. During his presentation, he spoke about autism in general, and also about the scale of the need for different ways of helping people with autism. This gave greater understanding about the importance and impact of projects like those of Carmel6000.

Another extra activity this week with Carmel6000, although not related to the work, was going to Maale Film School, where we watched three short films. That was a fun, and really thought provoking trip.Overall its been a really great week :)
