Week 4: And so we move to Cisco HQ
So, the forth week of our preparation course began in the Cisco offices in Jerusalem, where we would spent most of our time during the following year.
On Sunday, after introduced with Tsvi, the Cisco manager, we started learning Google Firebase. Around 6:30pm we arrived at our national service apartments for the first time, and after eating pizza and cleaning almost every visible spot in it, we fell asleep exhausted.
On the next day, we continued with the Firebase studding and had an interesting meeting with the representatives of the Education office.
On Thursday morning, we got to participate in a really nice toast which Cisco prepared for the upcoming new year, with a very fancy catering 😊

Afterwards, we learned some new things about React and how to combine it with Firebase.
Wednesday, the projects day has arrived, and his week assignment was to create an interactive To Do list which is connected directly to the Firebase.
On Thursday morning, before we proceeded working on the projects, we had a really inspiring conversation with the Knesset member Shully Mualem who spoke about the inspiring personality of her husband who was killed in the helicopter’s disaster on 1997, and how we can learn from him about having a mission to fulfill, and how it’s important to have the perspective of the meaning of the things you do for the world, and at the same time, what is their meaning for you as individually
After finishing working on the projects, Shlomo, one of the two founders of Carmel 6000, summarized the current course week and heard our feedbacks about it as usual, and didn’t sent us home without sharing with us a new song he wrote and wishing us a happy new year with a delicious cake to take with us.
That’s pretty much sums up all we have ben through this week.

Happy New Year Everyone!
