We are glad to share our latest newsletter for the first month of 2020. Recently, we’ve received several inquiries regarding the distribution of tokens, so we’d like to make some clarification. Also, we’ve announced a new ECA partnership in January.

1. CRE token distribution

1) How to check the latest circulating supply of Carry tokens (CRE)

We’ve been asked several times lately and found that many of our supporters are confused about the circulating supply of Carry tokens because there is a difference between the number displayed on exchanges and on Coinmarketcap.

We want to clarify that you can check the circulating supply of Carry token(CRE) on Coinmarketcap. >Link

While Coinmarketcap updates the above information in real-time, Upbit updates the market cap every day, and Huobi Global needs a manual update. Therefore, it is the most accurate way to check the circulating supply on Coinmarketcap

2) The difference in total supply between the last update and Coinmarketcap

According to the last update we’ve announced on Medium last July and the number displayed on Coinmarketcap, there is a difference between the total supply of CRE.

• Coinmarketcap: 4,511,558,981 CRE (January 2020)
• Our last update on Medium: 4,341,422,001 CRE (January 2020)

→ Difference: 170,136,980 CRE

As we’ve received several inquiries asking why there is such a difference, we’d like to share the answer and explanation here. The 170,136,980 CRE tokens are left from public sale, and the unsold tokens are locked in this separate address.

3) The Latest Distribution Schedule

As for the latest distribution status, it is still ongoing and there is no change from the last update. Just to make sure here, the table we’ve attached on the last update is just a part of the distribution schedule. It includes the estimated unlock volume and the cumulative supply for the first 12 months, and the distribution will be ongoing accordingly.

We’ve added a graph to help our supporters’ understanding regarding the estimated cumulative supply of CRE in the near future. The graph below includes the distribution status from 2020 to 2021.

For your reference, the unlock schedule for TGE (investors), which has the largest volume, will be completed by April 2020. Since May 2020, the unlock volume will be reduced by half.

4) What are the unlocked tokens used for?

By January 2020, the unlocked tokens have been distributed into the following ratios:

TGE (76%) / Partner Programs (7%) / Market Activation (4%) / Team (7%) / Advisor (6%)

But in the end, tokens will be distributed just said as Carry protocol’s white paper.

The distributed tokens were used for the following purpose:

• TGE: Distributed for the public sale, pre-sale, private sale, seed sale investors
• Partner program: Distributed for ECA (Enterprise Carry Alliance) partners for the marketing and promotion activities
• Market activation: Airdrops for the merchants and consumers for the ecosystem
• Team: Distributed for Team Carry members for the project operation
• Advisor: Distributed for the advisory on the ecosystem building

2. Pundi X Joins the Enterprise Carry Alliance

The Era of Crypto Payments

We’ve announced a new ECA partner, Pundi X, which will accelerate the scalability and practicality of Carry Protocol in the blockchain industry. Through the partnership, Carry token (CRE) will be added on Pundi X’s crypto wallet ‘X wallet’, enabling cryptocurrency payments in the offline stores worldwide.
