This award acknowledges individuals who consistently exceed expectations and make significant contributions that positively impact their team, department, or organization.
Nitesh Kumar (Sr. ReactNative Developer):
Problem Faced — In response to the Bajaj pre-approved loan application process, Nitesh tackled a key challenge by devising an efficient solution that significantly reduced the API calls and enhanced the overall user experience. This write-up will delve into the problem at hand, the innovative solution implemented, and its impact on Nitesh’s professional journey.
The primary issue revolved around the unpredictability of receiving pre-approved loan offers from the Bajaj API. The existing approach involved continuous polling, which led to increased API calls and varying response times. This approach was time-consuming and affected the user experience, causing potential frustration and impeding the loan application process.
Solution — To address this problem effectively, Nitesh devised a solution leveraging Firebase Realtime Database (RTD) to optimize the pre-approved loan offer retrieval process. Instead of constantly polling the Bajaj API, Nitesh made a single API call and redirected the response to Firebase RTD. This step reduced the load on the Bajaj API and eliminated the need for continuous polling.
Subsequently, Nitesh implemented a real-time listener in the backend, constantly monitoring Firebase RTD for any updates. Once the response from the Bajaj API was received, it was promptly updated in Firebase RTD and the app. This approach ensured that users were notified instantly about their pre-approved loan offers without any delay.
Nitesh’s innovative solution not only addressed the challenges faced by the Bajaj pre-approved loan application process but also positively impacted his professional journey. By successfully implementing this solution, Nitesh showcased his problem-solving and technical expertise. The efficient approach reduced API calls, improved the user experience, and streamlined the loan application process, earning recognition and appreciation from both users and stakeholders. BEST CODER OF THE MONTH
The “Best Coder of the Month” award recognizes an exceptional coder who has demonstrated outstanding skills and achievements within a specific month. This award is typically given within coding communities, organizations, or online platforms to encourage and motivate individuals to excel in their coding endeavors. It is a way to acknowledge and celebrate a coder's talent, dedication, and innovation who has made significant contributions during the given month. The winner of this award is often chosen based on factors such as problem-solving abilities, coding proficiency, creativity, teamwork, and the impact of their work. It inspires and promotes a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the coding community.
Hemant Garg(Backend Developer - JAVA): has been awarded the esteemed Best Coder of the Month award for his significant contributions to our platform. Hemant would like to highlight his recently released major features, showcasing their impact and success.
Firstly, Hemant has undertaken a Specs and Feature Revamp, significantly increasing the coverage of specs and features for listed cars from 15% to over 90%. This revamp includes user-friendly UI panels for adding and updating category and specs master and introducing image and icon upload capabilities. Real-time updates for MMV specs have been implemented, ensuring consistency and data integrity.
Secondly, the MMV Management Panel has been enhanced to streamline CRUD operations on the MMV master. By separating the retail panel from a refurb, Hemant has achieved better data synchronization with the Seller service, improving accuracy and efficiency.
Lastly, Hemant has successfully migrated the OEM service history features from Sell24 to the B2C Catalog, enhancing service history creation, PDF generation, and user notification. He has optimized the process with bulk uploading, improved request structures, and ensured backward compatibility.
These releases were meticulously planned with backup strategies, and migration scripts were prepared to facilitate smooth transitions. The successful execution of these significant releases involved multiple teams and complex deployments, showcasing Hemant’s ability to handle large-scale projects.
Overall, these features have substantially impacted our platform, improving user experience, data accuracy, and system efficiency. The positive outcomes of these releases have earned Hemant the recognition of Best Coder of the Month.
