Development Updates

During the last month, the Cartesi team made continued progress on several of our initiatives. The major developments were:

Cartesi Rollups: Continued implementation of the Cartesi Rollups infrastructure.

  • Updates on the implementation of the Rollup Machine Manager, a service that will act as an interface between the high-level Rollup logic and the Cartesi Machine.
  • Completed architectural updates on the Cartesi Machine Emulator to support the Rollups requirements.
  • Researched ways to improve the rollup interaction of the userspace software that will run inside the machine.

Noether’s PoS Delegation System

Texas HODL’em Poker: progress towards the full MVP implementation.

  • Poker Verifier fully integrated to the TurnBasedGame smart contracts, so that a game can be started on the blockchain and later on replayed and verified by Cartesi Compute Validator Nodes
  • Progress on porting the client app to Electron: completed basic web app port and initial binding to native Poker Engine modules (Mac + Linux)
  • Improvements and adjustments to Poker app logic, especially showdown rules

Miscellaneous

  • Improvements on the Cartesi Compute Machine Manager
  • Research on improving the boot process of the Linux OS that runs inside the machine.
