Development Updates
During the last month, the Cartesi team made continued progress on several of our initiatives. The major developments were:
Cartesi Rollups: Continued implementation of the Cartesi Rollups infrastructure.
- Cartesi Node (Rollups Off-Chain) was released as the final piece of the rollups.
- The team is now working on the first DApp to be deployed on Cartesi Rollups as a demo.
Noether’s PoS Delegation System:
- Released Noether’s Beta Release on testnet. Try it now and help us move it to mainnet for October!
- Improved smart contract design, which makes it easier to audit and less prone to bugs;
- Reduced gas costs in all transactions for both pool operators and pool users;
- More flexibility for commission configuration;
- Replaced the Uniswap V3 price oracle with a Chainlink price oracle for improved reliability;
Several improvements to UI/UX, including:
- New toolbar;
- New dark mode;
- UI for metamask transaction feedback;
- List of pools user is participating in;
- UX improvements to pool staking;
- New metric for pool block production;
- Loading of more blocks per page in blocks page;
- New pool management page.
Texas HODL’em Poker: progress towards the full MVP implementation:
- Starting to port the client app to Electron in order to use native binaries for the heavy-weight cryptography, with dramatic performance improvements.
- Support for the Portis non-custodial wallet, offering a better user experience.
