We’re excited to announce the release of the CartHook Checkout Funnel. I figured the best way to introduce it would be to simply explain what the app does for you by answering a few key questions.
What is it?
CartHook Checkout Funnel allows you to sell physical products through a funnel with one-click upsells.
What does it do?
More specifically, the app allows you to build a checkout funnel for any product in your Shopify store.
Each funnel is connected to one product from your Shopify store, and consists of a Checkout page and a Thank You page. You can then add up to 3 upsells and 3 downsells after the Checkout page. The upsells and downsells are also connected to products in your Shopify store.
Here’s a quick look at the funnel editor to give you an idea of what you can do in building a funnel:

Once a visitor has completed their order on the CartHook Checkout, the order data is then passed into your Shopify store so you can handle things like shipping, inventory, email marketing, and so on from your Shopify backend. Got a million apps set up just the way you want them? Cool, no need to change anything, it’ll all work just like any other order :)
The most important thing it does is give you FULL CONTROL over the entire sales funnel. Until now, once the visitor reaches the Shopify checkout, you lose all control over the funnel. Not any more. Now you have control of every page, from the landing page to the checkout, upsell, downsell, and thank you pages.
What does it NOT do?
It does NOT replace the checkout on your Shopify store. The CartHook Checkout runs in parallel to your Shopify store.
I want to reiterate that. Your Shopify store is not affected in any way. Visitors to your Shopify store will not see the CartHook Checkout. They will continue to check out on your normal Shopify checkout.
How do you use it?
When you create a funnel inside the app, you’re provided with a “Buy Link”
When that Buy Link is clicked, it brings the visitor directly into the CartHook Checkout page, with the appropriate product preloaded. And of course, behind that Checkout page are the upsell and downsell pages, if any, that you’ve set up for this particular funnel.
Here’s an example of a Buy Link:
Now here’s the really exciting part. You can take that Buy Link and use it anywhere you want.
We expect the most common way to use the Buy Link will be to drive traffic to a landing page, and have the Buy Link connected to the button/CTA on the landing page.
But you can also use the Buy Link in an email, a Facebook ad, a tweet, in a retargeting ad, or anywhere else that makes sense for you. We’re excited to see what you come up with.
Speaking of landing pages. To make things easier for you, we’ll be releasing beautiful, conversion-optimized landing pages for physical products.
Who is it for?
Ecommerce professionals who want to sell products through a funnel, and those that want to implement funnel strategies in their existing Shopify business.
If you sell physical products online and you want full control over every aspect of your entire funnel, but you also want to continue using Shopify as your backend, this product is for you.
Why should you try it?
Like it or not, funnels are coming to the world of physical product ecommerce.
You can get started now, or wait until your competition does and then play catch up.
