Cartisan recently received a service request from a customer who owns a 2008 Mercedes-Benz E280 W211. After a preliminary inspection, it was determined that the following repairs/replacements needed to be carried out for the car -
- Air filter cleaning
- AC filter replacement
- Oil filter replacement
- Engine Oil replacement
- Front brake pad replacement
- Coolant Top Up
A quote was provided to the customer, he approved and the Cartisan Service Team arrived at the customer’s location and the car was taken to the closest Cartisan Preferred Workshop.
The car was raised up with the help of a lift, the bonnet was popped open and the service was underway.
First, the engine oil was drained out, the used oil filter was removed and the engine oil was drained out by unscrewing the engine oil drain nut from underneath the engine block. A brand new oil filter was fitted to the engine block.
Next, the air filter was removed from the air filter housing, cleaned and placed back.
The engine block was then filled up with fresh 5W-40 fully synthetic engine oil from Shell. The coolant was topped up as well and the engine was cranked and left to idle for some time.
The AC filter was removed and replaced with a brand new one.
The wheels were then removed and the front brake pads were removed from the brake calipers and replaced with brand new brake pads .
Next, the rear wheels were removed, the brake pads were removed from the brake calipers, cleaned and placed back.
All wheels were mounted back onto the wheel hubs and the car was taken for a test drive to confirm that the work was carried out successfully.
