Cartisan recently received a service request from a customer who owns a 2009 Mercedes-Benz S350 (W212). The owner complained of rattling sounds from the front suspension of the S350.

The Cartisan service team arrived at the customer’s location at the specified date and time and the car was taken to the closest Cartisan Preferred Workshop where the suspension assembly was thoroughly checked.

From the checkup, it was determined that the car needed a new set of front shock absorbers, a set of link rods and a set of tie rod ends.

The quote was given to the customer and after receiving the approval, the suspension overhaul began.

The car was raised up with the help of jacks and the front wheels were removed.

After removing the front wheels, the wheel hubs along with the control arms were disconnected from the car.

The link rods and tie rod ends were removed and replaced with brand new link rods and tie rod ends from Lemforder.

The front shock absorbers were removed from the chassis and a brand new set of Bilstein shock absorbers were installed.

The wheel hubs were then mounted in place followed by the wheels. The car was then lowered to the ground and taken for a test drive to confirm that the suspension overhaul was completed successfully.
