A customer who owns a 2012 Audi Q3 booked for a Brembo front brake overhaul with Cartisan.

The customer placed a request through the Cartisan app, the appointment was confirmed and the Cartisan service team arrived at the customer’s location to carry out the service.

First, the bonnet was popped open and the brake fluid reservoir cap was unscrewed.

The car was then raised up with the help of a jack and the wheels were removed.

The front brake pads were the ones that required replacement. The brake calipers were removed from the brake rotors and the brake pads were removed from it. Before removing the brake pads, a c-clamp was used to decompress the brake piston inside the caliper.

Brand new set of Brembo brake pads were installed into the calipers. The Q3 is equipped with a brake wear sensor.

The Q3 is equipped with a brake wear sensor. This sensor is connected to the brake pads housed in the left front brake caliper and when these brake pads wear to a certain limit, it will trigger the sensor which will cause a malfunction light to glow on the instrument cluster. This sensor is replaced as well.

The car is then lowered to the ground and taken for a test drive to confirm that the work was carried out successfully.
