Cartisan recently carried out a 2012 Mercedes Benz E Class W212 Coolant Tank Replacement. The car had clocked around 56,000km on the odometer.

The Complaint…

The customer complained of an overheating issue. After running the car for more than 30 minutes, the customer noticed that the engine temperature would climb all the way up to 120 degrees. The engine was overheating due to the leakage of coolant.

The Cartisan technician inspected the car upon the customer’s request and he found that the coolant was leaking through a small crack in the coolant tank. This was causing the coolant to leak thereby overheating the engine.

The Cartisan technician disconnected the coolant hose pipes from the coolant tank and removed the coolant tank from the engine bay.

He then installed a brand new coolant and refitted the coolant hose pipes.

The technician then topped up the coolant reservoir with 4 liters of green coolant from Castrol.
