Cartisan recently received a service request from a customer who owns a 2013 Mercedes Benz A-Class W176 for replacement of brakes. The brake warning lamps were flashing in the car and upon inspection, it was determined that both brake pads and brake rotors required replacement.

A quote was given to the customer for the following items

  • Brembo Brake Pads — Front
  • Brembo Drilled Brake Rotors — Front

The customer accepted and the Cartisan Service Team arrived at the customer’s location ready to carry out the service.

The bonnet was popped open, brake reservoir cap opened and the car was raised up with the help of jacks. The front wheels were removed one by one, the brake pads were removed from the brake calipers and finally, the worn brake rotors were unmounted from the wheel hub.

The new Brembo drilled rotors were then mounted onto the wheel hub, followed by the brake calipers with the new Brembo brake pads. The calipers were then screwed shut and the wheels were mounted back in place.

The car was lowered and taken for a test drive to confirm that the work was carried out successfully.
