Cartisan recently carried out a 2013 Volkswagen Polo TDI brakes replacement. The customer wanted a new set of brake pads and rotors for his car probably due to the noise and shuddering experienced by the him while braking. Upon inspection of his VW Polo TDI brakes, it was found that the brake pads and disc rotors were worn out and therefore required replacement.

A quote was provided for -

  • Febi Bilstein Brake Rotors
  • Brembo Brake Pads

The customer accepted the quote and Cartisan Service Team arrived at the customer’s location to carry out the service.

The bonnet was popped open, the brake reservoir cap was opened and the service was underway.

The car was lifted up with the help of a hydraulic jack and was propped on stands. Each of the two front wheels was removed. The brake pads were then removed from the brake calipers. The calipers were then unmounted from the brake rotors followed by the rotors themselves.

The new Febi Bilstein rotors were then mounted onto the wheel hubs. The brake calipers were then mounted onto the rotors and the Brembo brake pads were fitted to the calipers.

Finally all wheels were then mounted back onto the car and the car was lowered to the ground and taken for a test drive to confirm that the work was carried out successfully.
