We had a request from an owner of a 2016 Audi Q5. The brake replacement warning indicator was flashing on the dash. The symbol will look as follows.
The Cartisan team arrived at the customer’s doorstep and a quick inspection helped confirm that the front and rear brake pads had worn out and were due for replacement.
The Cartisan service team arrived at the customer’s location at the specified date and time in order to carry out the service.
The bonnet was popped open and the work began.
First, the brake reservoir cap was removed to avoid air bubbles getting trapped in the brake lines.
The front wheels were removed and the brake pads are removed from the brake calipers. They were replaced with brand new performance brake pads from EBC which are called Yellow Stuff. These brake pads are generally fitted to performance cars and offer superior braking performance.
The rear wheels were removed and the used brake pads were removed from the brake calipers and replaced with OE equivalent brake pads from EBC.
The wheels were fitted back to the car and the Q5 was lowered and taken for a test drive to confirm that the work was carried out successfully.
