Mindset is very important, especially the ones you have about money. If your money mindset is wrong, it will be extremely difficult to get ahead with your finances, no matter how much cash flow passes through your hands on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis.
Here are seven wrong money mistakes you might be making and how to break free from them.
1. To be rich, you have to be corrupt. Not every rich person went the wrong route before they made money. A lot of people do not compromise on hard work and integrity. Quit joining the multitude to think that to be extremely wealthy cannot be right. Whatever you do not appreciate, you cannot attract to yourself. Associate yourself with the right thinking people at all time.
2. I deserve more than I am earning right now. When you keep delivering value, you will earn your way to wealth. Go over and above what you are being paid for. Constantly ask yourself what you need to do to earn more. You can double your income when you understand value deployment.
3. Not all of us will be rich. You need to know that everybody has the capacity to get to their fullest potential, which is capable of making them wealthy. Wealth currency is an exchange for value. If you give value, you will get wealth.
4. I will hit it big one day. Every overnight success has a lot of sleepless nights that have gone into it. Wealth is cumulative and takes a process. Resources will always flow from those who cannot manage it to those who can manage it.
5. There is an alternative to hard work. If you think you don’t have to do anything strenuous or extra, then you will remain at the bottom of the ladder. It takes energy to climb up.
6. I want everything but there is no time for self-development. It takes time to earn a degree. It takes time to learn anything worthwhile. However, it can be easier when it is deliberate. Spend every day getting better, read a book, listen to informative podcasts and generally guard your space and contents you allow around you. Who you are will determine what you attract.
7. The specialist will do it. We have said time and again that it is a poor mindset to give your money to a third party to manage for you. You should be interested in how your money grows and where it goes. Draw out your own investment plan and seek professional management. You are primarily the architect of your destiny. Take charge.
