“The Cassava ecosystem, backed by over 900,000 global active users, has become one of the largest traffic entry points in the Web3 world. Leveraging its vast user base and data system, Cassava is now poised to reshape the value of social data in a brand new way.”

The Cassava Web3 task marketing platform is a crucial component of the Cassava ecosystem. Within this system, users can earn incentives such as points or OAT by completing a series of gamified and social tasks, which can then be exchanged for various rights and benefits within the Cassava ecosystem. This closed-loop traffic system has not only helped accumulate tens of thousands of KYC-verified sticky users but also assisted thousands of Web3 applications in successfully launching their ecosystems and achieving long-term user growth. The platform’s compelling features and user-friendly experience have also helped Cassava stand out in successive market competitions.

Cassava is backed by over 900,000 active users who are widely distributed globally, making it one of the most important traffic entry points in the Web3 domain. Leveraging its vast user base, the Cassava ecosystem is now evolving towards an AI data governance system. Launching a community-driven infrastructure called the Cassava Network will manage high-quality human-annotated AI training data and contribute to the development of artificial intelligence, effectively realizing an AI-powered social data value mining protocol.

Cassava: The Largest Traffic Entry Point in the Web3 World

Through Google Analytics, we have observed the data of the Cassava Web3 task marketing platform, including active user counts, user geographical distribution, active user trends, and browsing data.

Cassava’s traffic primarily comes from the African and Southeast Asian markets. According to the user country distribution in Google Analytics, Nigeria, Vietnam, and North America are Cassava’s largest user markets, with these key regions contributing over 1.2 million users. By deeply penetrating these key regions, Cassava has firmly established its user traffic presence in these promising Web3 markets, maintaining a strong appeal.

From the perspective of daily active users, Cassava has over 54,000 30-day active users and more than 21,000 7-day active users, with a daily active user count of 7,622. Its 2nd-week retention rate is 18.9%, and the 3rd-week retention rate is 9%. Cassava belongs to the top tier in the Web3 application field or the Web3 marketing platform track.

Regarding user sources, Cassava’s users primarily come from direct website visits, representing that the Cassava platform itself, as an incubation and marketing platform, has excellent traffic-driving capabilities and is also one of the important traffic sources in the Web3 market.

Cassava’s user base is predominantly young, with users aged 18–34 accounting for over 80% of the platform’s KYC-completed users. From the perspective of the Web3 industry, this age group is the most valuable user segment in the Web3 market, which means Cassava can bring real value-added traffic to its partners.

It’s also worth noting that Cassava initially formed its initial user growth from the Web2 domain through a series of social and incentive-based growth models, and its long-term target user group is Web2 users rather than Web3 users. This indicates that Cassava’s ecosystem user base has a certain level of hierarchy and can continuously attract users from the Web2 domain.

The New Data Availability Layer in the AI Era

One of Cassava’s biggest advantages is its large user base, and through these real user data, the ecosystem is evolving towards a social data value mining protocol. By launching an open, collaborative AI data network called Cassava Network and an AI-first social data value mining protocol called Cassava Protocol, Cassava’s ecosystem is providing the community with permissionless infrastructure and incentives to manage, store and share AI data, allowing users to create value through participation in network building and data interactions.

From the perspective of the blockchain world, on-chain data is usually publicly transparent, and through some infrastructure focused on the data availability (DA) layer, Web3 applications and on-chain systems can obtain good data availability support. However, data availability faces certain bottlenecks in AI training.

Data is the most important fuel for machine learning and training in the AI field. Still, AI companies must invest a lot of manpower in manual labelling and cleaning data to ensure data quality. For datasets requiring particularly fine-grained labelling, the cost is even higher. This involves direct labour costs, time costs, and potential data quality issues, making data capture a major pain point in AI projects. As models become more complex, the demand for high-quality data increases, exacerbating this problem and urgently needing to be solved to reduce overall training costs.

According to a study from the Epoch Al Research team, the stock of high-quality language data will be depleted by 2026, while the stock of low-quality language data and image data will be exhausted between 2030–2050 and 2030–2060, respectively. This means that if there are no new data sources or a significant improvement in data utilization efficiency, the development speed of large AI models will slow down significantly after 2030.

On the other hand, due to legal and regulatory issues, many AI companies face a series of problems, such as privacy leaks in their data capture.

The Cassava Protocol must complete some important ecological and technical prerequisites to achieve true AI-based social data value mining. The most important part is data processing automation and the ecosystem’s self-expansion capability. To achieve these, the Cassava Protocol has established a network that allows the blockchain paradigm to collect, store, and analyze user data to achieve orderly data processing tasks under the Cassava Protocol’s chaotic expansion. Ultimately, this properly processed data will become valuable and will be provided to each participant in the ecosystem in different forms. This allows developers to join the on-chain and off-chain data in a simple SQL format without the need for trust and directly load the results into smart contracts, providing support for sub-second queries and enterprise-level analysis in a fully tamper-proof and blockchain-anchored manner.

On the other hand, to ensure compliance, the Cassava Protocol has embedded FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption) technology into the protocol. FHE is a special type of encryption scheme that allows direct computation on encrypted data and delivers the same result as performing the same operation on the original data after decryption. This means that the data processing party does not need to access the plaintext data to perform analysis and processing tasks. When the Cassava Protocol platform provides data to data consumers, it adopts the FHE scheme, supporting homomorphic encryption of data contributions, which allows enterprises to perform algorithmic analysis on users’ encrypted data while protecting user privacy. This also enables it to comply with strict data protection regulations such as the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Currently, the Cassava ecosystem, backed by a massive user data system of millions, has already been able to provide services to some AI companies, fully leveraging its advantages as a Web3 traffic entry point to drive the deep integration of the AI track and the Web3 domain.

With the long-term accumulation of the Cassava Protocol ecosystem, the Cassava ecosystem will become a rich and comprehensive data system. It will be able to support enterprise users while ensuring privacy. At this stage, the Cassava Network plans to build a large-scale standardized AI dataset, where the authorized data will be further labeled and modularized to improve the efficiency of data governance further, driving the flywheel of frontier areas like AI to run more efficiently.

From the Web3 marketing platform to the expansion of social data value, Cassava is realizing a new round of value leap and transformation. As the ecosystem expands its narratives, it will continue to siphon value from the trillion-dollar artificial intelligence blue ocean market.
