In this Winter 2017 cohort for Catalysr we have selected incredible Migrapreneurs who dream big and have ideas that are enabled by technology to create a big impact.

These are the future leaders who hear about disruption and challenges facing us, but instead of turning their back want to dig in and create a better future.

We’ve had a very hard time to select the top performers from so many deserving applications.

I am very proud to announce the primary founders of our Winter 2017 Accelerator Cohort and the work their teams are up to.

Mana Ohori

Mana’s team is passionate about social and environmental justice and is working to disrupt the “blood-diamond” industry. Their work is focused on developing chemically and physically identical lab-made diamonds and connecting with the ethical consumer market in Australia.

You can connect with Mana here.

Aninda Mukhopadhyay

Aninda’s team is working diligently to reduce stress for International Students in Australia, by developing a tool that helps them fight procrastination, using Gamification and Machine Learning.

You can connect with him here.

Rajesh Bhardwaj

Rajesh is tackling the problem of traffic congestion and carbon emissions in Greater Western Sydney (GWS).

He’s developing a platform for sustainable mobility which will offer key data and insights, mobility training and mentoring programmes for local businesses and councils in GWS.

You can connect with Rajesh here

Zandile Dube

Zandile is working to reduce an alarmingly high level of over 80% youth unemployment in Zimbabwe.

She is developing a platform to help Australian businesses outsource accounting work to Zimbabwe, reducing poverty and creating additional employment opportunities for youth.

You can connect with Zandile here.

Maame Agyei-Mensah

Maame has spotted a lack of events in Australia that give opportunities to migrant youth to re-imagine and control their own future.

She is working on a platform to support community organisations and individuals by producing influential events where they connect with communities, shine a light on role models and create a positive vision for the future generations.

We are also excited to announce our new partner CGU Insurance, who have joined us through IAG’s Confident Communities program to deliver Catalysr’s Winter 2017 Accelerator Program.

They join our growing family of amazing major supporters for this program including Mike Cannon-Brookes, Alan Jones, Bennelong Foundation, Aurora Media Worldwide, Mironne Golan & Jonathan Herrman and the RSF Foundation.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all, thank you!

If you’d like to get involved with Catalysr, as a mentor or investor, give us a shout on here.

Let’s build Australia 2.0 together!
