Telkie was birthed with hotel’s interests in mind.

Currently, 70% of hotels bookings are made via online Travel Agencies (OTAs) like Hotels.com and Expedia. Hotels know they are losing hefty commissions to the OTAs, (a mid-size hotel of 500 rooms can benefit from USD415K commission savings to OTAs each year for every 10% growth of direct bookings).

But they have no choice. They would lose most of their business if they stopped distributing their rooms on OTAs, but if they did, they aren’t allowed to undercut their price, which makes it very hard for hotels to attract guests to book direct.

But wait — in fact, more than 50% of travelers visit the hotel website before making a booking. Every page view is a chance to capture a direct booking.

Since the official launch January 2019, Telkie has already been trusted by several 5-star hotels in Hong Kong including The Royal Garden . Their clients have come back with happy results — generating an average of 400 room booking enquiries per hotel per month, with around 30% conversion to direct bookings.

Data is the new oil. Telkie tracks the hotel’s web traffic, engagement and conversion rates, stores all chat history and emails provided by guests and generates monthly analytics and insights for hotels.
