Unlike other family situations, the unique circumstance of being a parent of an anxious child can mean charting a course unknown. You may struggle a little with which way to turn when the seas get rough. Wouldn’t it be a blessing to move from a place of bailing the dingy for survival to smooth sailing in calm waters?

Without knowing how to support a child with extreme anxiety, it is important to seek help from professionals. You must take guidance with care. Remember, you know best what might suit your child. One idea may work, and another may fail. Give yourself grace as you experiment, and be sure not to add a layer of guilt to the mix.

One thing we know for sure is that an anxious child is hyper-sensitive to the energies around them. They may be 10 times more sensitive than any member of the family. Can you imagine how overwhelming that may be?
