“Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown, ignorance can be educated, and drunkenness sobered, but stupid lasts forever.”

Aristophanes

safety goes by the wayside
as a young God
rides a bike
with no hands,
no look,
music streaming
through his ears
and a stop sign,
not expecting
a fatality.
no fear of
being blindsided —
the rush, the risk, the death wish
is well worth it.

a perfect day,
the sun is out,
nothing-will-happen-to-me attitude,
a biker rides into a youthful
not knowing,
no thoughts of worry,
because it is his world
and he has complete control —
such a carefree,
careless,
naïve soul.
